Solved: Switch configuration recommendations for IPT

CAn anyone advise on the best way to configure a switch port that has a Cisco telephone connected with a PC connected to the phone port.

In the past I was advised that any port that has an IP Telephone connected should be set to trunk mode with dot1q encapsulation. Is this the best way to configure the port or should the port be set to access mode?

let say ur data vlan is 10 and voice is 20

switchport mode access

switchport access vlan 10

switchport voice vlan 20

mls qos trust device cisco-phone

spaning-tree portfast

no shut
