Hi,
I have recently got a Cisco 877 Router for my company internet subscription. I would like to setup the router to block all BitTorrent traffic. Can you advise me how this can be done? Thanks.

Have a look at NBAR, check your current IOS version see requirements in bellow link NBAR Features, you will need 12.4x as in this version more NBAR features was added for BitTorrent.

Thanks. I tried to check this out, my router does not seem to have NBAR even though the version is 12.4x. I used SDM to check, and it said the feature is not available for my IOS image.
I tried to access the download page of Cisco, but seems like my user ID only allows me guest access. How do I upgrade my account so that I can have this feature?

try through command line and place a ? mark, this way you can know if commands are taken.Im sure your version supports NBAR.
router(config)#class-map ?
router(config)#class-map match-any ?
or
router(config)#class-map match-any P2P
you can always remove it
router(config# no class-map match-any P2P

Nope, it is not available with my IOS. Could it be the version that I have got has it disabled? My router model is 881. Or is there anything that I need to do to enable this feature? I am struggling to block the torrent traffic.
