spare vs. normal

Hi all, pls can somebody give me clue, if you buy ip phone and licence, why there is normal and spare type of phone in pricelist and also the same two types for licences? Thanks

When it comes to phones, you can buy it with or without a bundled license.

Some people prefer to buy a phone and license together, while other people may buy a bulk of licenses, then buy phones separately. Also, you may want to have spare phones available in case one goes bad -- but you don't need a license for it.

For example part number CP-7965G-CH1 comes with a license, part number CP-7965G= does not.
