hi,
i have a secondary dialtone which is 9 for an outside line but the VOIP Provider has said we need to strip this as the number they are getting from us is 901xxxxxxx
what is the voice translation rule to strip the 9 for outgoing calls and keep the rest of the number the same

Hi,
Are you using a POTS dial-peer..If you are just confgure your route pattern to be eg 9T..Pots dial-peer will automatically strip the 9. Or you can use forward-digits to strip the 9..eg if you have a detination-pattern like
.T and you configure forward digits 11
If you dial 907940771567.
Only the last 11 digits are forwarded..the 9 is stripped.
Otherwise you can just configure a voice-xlation rule like this..
voice-xlation rule 1
rule 1 /^9/ //
voice-xlation profile strip9
xlate called 1
dial-peer voice 6 voip
xlation-profile outgoing strip9
or dial-peer voice 6 pots
xlation-profile outgoing strip9
