ASA will not allow tftp to upload image.

I get an error message:

%Error reading tftp://192.168.1.9/asa803-k8.bin (Unspecified Error)

make sure u have connection to the server

and u have the put the right url

and also check the name of the image

all of these have been checked. I can do the tftpdnld from rommon to get an image loaded, and the image works.

Hi Paul,

Do you see any logs on the TFTP server when you try to download the code?

I saw a similar issue where even though there were no connectivity or configuration issues, the TFTP server was refusing the connection for no apparent reason. The logs on the server showed the firewall trying to access the file, but the download failed. I ended up using a different server software on the same host (actually I switched to FTP), and the file downloaded just fine.
