Yeah it works fine but like CCM it won't allow you to apply service patchs..

I've applied service packs on CM in VMware successfully many times.

I can't use the cd boot in my vmware image. Just in MCS. There are any hack?

You need the original install DVD for this install, an upgrade download will not work. Also, you need at least CUPS 6.0.2 install DVD in order for the server license to be available in VMWare install. CUPS 6.0.1 and older does not automatically give you a server license and you cannot install 6.0.1 and upgrade to 6.0.2...still doesn't give node license.
I never had a problem in VMWare 6 detecting install DVD. You may have an issue with your computer of the install of VMWare.

I'm using the .iso downloaded at cisco.com
I can install de cucm6 but the cups 6 not.
