Adding ASA5540 v7.0(7) to CSM 3.2 (pro)

Cisco Security Manager 3.2 SP2

ASA5540 V7.0(7) single context, routed mode

Using the Device View to add an ASA, enter address, name and credentials and recieve error messge "unable to connect to the device. Device connectivity test between the device and CSM failed.."

I am succesfully able to ssh to the device from the same mgmt network.

With logging enabled I can see the ssh connection but do not see anything comming from CSM.

sample config below:

aaa authentication ssh console LOCAL

aaa authentication http console LOCAL

http server enable

http 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 mgmt

http 192.168.0.22 255.255.255.255 mgmt

http redirect mgmt 80

snmp-server host mgmt 192.168.0.22 community nnnnn

Many thanks

Steve

Problem resolved. Appeared to be an issue with local IP connectivity, which is now resolved.

succesfully able to add ASA as device into CSM.

Thanks,

Steve
