Broadcast issue !

hi all, i have a 2821 router with 4ESW HWIC installed. we have some vendors sitting in our dept so we seperated there switch and connected an uplink on HWIC's port and created a seperate vlan 4 and assigend that port to vlan 4. given ip in interface vlan 4 everything was fine. they have one user who is having problem in connecting to one of our subnets server. Our subnet is 10.110.1.0/24 and their subnet is 172.16.1.0/24. at first i thought ip helper command will be sufficient but it didnt work at all. consider my server to be 10.110.1.12/24 and the vendors have confirmed that they use broadcast to connect to our server ( they used some complex terms which i dont know anyway :-) ). Now do i have to define the specific UDP port through forwarding address command or anything else i need to do ?

Configure "ip forward-protocol udp " where is the protocol you need to be forwarded by the helper.
