Hi !
I tried to enable Traps on the ACE Module - but in case of Real-Server Failure nothing is sent out...
I did the following:
snmp-server host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx traps version 2c xxxxxxxx
snmp-server trap-source vlan xxx
snmp-server enable traps slb vserver
snmp-server enable traps slb real
snmp-server enable traps syslog
snmp-server enable traps snmp authentication
snmp-server enable traps snmp linkup
snmp-server enable traps snmp linkdown
interface vlan 210
description Mgmt-Interface
ip address xxxxx
peer ip address xxxxx
access-group input PERMIT_ALL
access-group output PERMIT_ALL
service-policy input mgmtaccess
no shutdown
Could you please let me know if I did anything wrong ?
thx
Hans

HI Hans,
When you specify the slb keyword, specify the real or vserver keyword to enable server load-balancing notifications. This selection generates a notification if:
The real server changes state (up or down) due to occurrences such as user intervention, ARP failure, and probe failure.
Also ,I think you have not configured SNMP communities (SNMP uses software entities called managers and agents to manage network devices)
Kindly refer the following link for getting full configuration in this regard:

Hi !
that`s what I did:
snmp-server enable traps slb vserver
snmp-server enable traps slb real
The real server is down - but no SNMP Trap is sent.
f.e.: rserver: OSN03_IN1
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0 8 ARP_FAILED 0 937 85
unfortunately I do not see any trap on the Mgmt-VLAN.
thx
