Unanswered Question

Hi Guys,

I've already passed SND, SNPA, and IPS... that mean to finish CCSP old track i've to exam SNRS and elective one CANAC....

but recently my boss told me to exam CCNA Security... with new track then i've to finish 3 exam and 1 elective

if i succeed my CCNA Security then can the SND be the required exam for CCSP with new track....

If it is so...then i,ve only to finish CANAC elective one then....

What is your opinion guys....

I have this problem too.

Hey thanks for replying...

I've already taken CCNA Security, and passed :)

now can the snd count as the require one for CCSP new track?

Nope, it is either SND or CCNA Security. So because you have done both now, essentially you have taken an extra exam :(

Oh i see.... hehe well thats okay then... gladly i'm not paying both of them :), my office did...

that mean i still have to pass one elective exam and one required exam then....

thanks for replying all :)

From what I have been told, you can continue with your original plan since you have already passed SND. The requirements are either CCNA +SND, or CCNA +CCNA Security.

Therefore there is no point in you doing CCNA Security. Just concentrate on SNRS and NAC/MARS etc. Since none of these are due to expire any time soon you might as well keep to your original study.

Also doing CCNA Security won't renew your CCNA unlike the CCSP exams.

i've taken the ccna security because is the prerequisites for taking NAC specialist

Since i already pass snd, snpa, ips, ccna security than i only have to pass just one exam elective CANAC, cause the snd is part of CCNA security prerequisites also....

what your opinion friends?

Ok, so help me out here...

I have an active CCNA / CCNP and have taken 4 tests so far in the CCSP line...

642-552 (core)

642-503 (core)

642-523 (core)

642-513 (elective)

Based on the new rules, do I still need to take 642-533 (IPS) in order to get the CCSP?
