Unistall Data Migration Assistant ver 6.1(2)

Hi,

I have uninstalled Data Migration Assistant V6.1(2) as I require ver 6.0(1A) installed on my Call manager Publisher.

I removed DMA from control panel add/remove programs and re-booted the server as per the documentation.

DMA V6.0(1A) fails to install as the server reports that a newer version of DMA is installed.

No DMA exists within Program Files. No Informix services are present or running.

Any ideas on a resolution would be appreciated.

thanks

Ian.

HI Ian.

I had the same problem.

Start regedit and look here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products

You should be able to find an entry for DMA, delete this key and try to start the installer again.

Hi Ian,

It seems like there are different instructions for uninstalling DMA. Have you looked at this doc?

Removing DMA

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/dma/6_1_1/dmaug611.html#wp37966

Hope this helps!

Rob,

Thanks for the update. I did have a look at uninstalling DMA for both 6.12 and 6.01 which made no difference.

From a server point of view there is no indication that DMA is now installed. However when installing 6.01 I am notified that a newer version is already installed.
