We're in the middle of the benchmark testing an edge site for the cifs traffic. The edge site has a 512wae and the core site has the 7326wae. We have acertained that the cifs traffic is getting accelerated and the numbers for reading files seem to be OK.. However, the numbers for writing files are too high. How would we go about troubleshooting an issue like that?
Thanks..

Greg,
Can you please provide some additional information about your environment:
- WAN Characteristics
- Application(s) Used
- File Size(s)
- WAE System Reports
- Packet capture during poor performance
Thanks,
Zach

Dan, thnx..
2 T1's, for a total of 3MB;
opening an excel spreadsheet and then writing it back;
file size is about 7 MB;
- WAE System Reports - what specifically are you looking for here?
- Packet capture during poor performance - have not done this...

If it's Excel, let's take a look at a packet capture. Excel has some less-than-ideal oplock behavior that can cause cache invalidation.
