I am trying to configure stickyness on an ACE appliance. I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried a http cookie and a IP Netmask and can't get it to work. When I do a show stat sticky or a show sticky database I get nothing. Attached is the config of my ace.

Hi,
Have you made your context a member of resource class Normal?
Does your policy-map for loadbalance use the sticky-serverfarm statement?
It would be helpful if you could post the whole configuration.

Cathy,
The Policy map did not have the sticky-serverfarm statement. I figured once I created the group and associated it with a serverfarm I was done. I made the change and it works now.
Thanks you very much.

When you use cookie-insert function, ACE creates a static cookie. Correct command to view static cookies in sticky DB is
"show sticky database static"
Run the above command and see if you see any sticky entries in the database.
If you still dont see any entries then post the complete config.
Thanks

you need to assign sticky resources to your context before you can start using it.
Use the following command to see if you have allocated sticky resources
switch/Admin# show np 1 me-stats "-slb -v" | i Stick
Num Active Sticky Entry: 1 0
Num Active Reverse Sticky Entry: 0 0
Free Sticky Entry Count: 944765 0
switch/Admin#
