Hi
I would like to know how to enable timeout session for Cisco 6506 telnet session.. [ Issue is helpdesk login to 6506 and forget it close and the telnet session remains open... due to this after few sessions we are not alowed to telnet ]...

6500#(config)line vty 0 15
6500#(config-line)exec timeout 5 0
This would timeout the connection after 5 minutes of idle time.

which only exec-timeout may be in some cases the connection remains open.. for more security configure absolute timeout in 60 minutes.
line vty 0 15
exec-timeout 5 0
absolute-timeout 60
