I know this has been asked before but I have still to work out a solution.

Does anyone know how to bridge 2 identical internal subnets via a Cisco ASA site to site VPN.

10.101.1.0 is the subnet at both sides of the VPN and I am currently achieving this using OpenVPN but would prefer to use the ASA.

I believe it is possible using GRE tunnels.

If anyone has any ideas please help!!

The ASA cannot terminate GRE tunnels. You can use NAT to make both sides communicate but you can't extend the VLANs via a site-2-site VPN.

This kind of stuff is achieved with GRE,MPLS, L2TPV3 etc.
