the scenario is as described below

the PBX is MARCOTEL with E1 connection from the TELCO.

the connection is as shown below

PBX(with E1 connection)---====-MDF(Main Distriution Frame)------------patch panel--------outlet------phone1

i want to migrate the user to IPT

so the cable from the outlet , which is RJ11 cable to the phone was removed and plugged to an FXO port on a cisco 2801 voice gateway to achieve the connection as shown below

PBX(with E1 connection)---====-MDF(Main Distriution Frame)------------patch panel--------outlet------cisco 2801(voice gateway)-------LAN------callmanager 4.1---cisco ip phone

the phone 1 has a number 2701111

i did a connection plar such that when u call 2701111 it goes to ip phone with extension 190

the issue is after configuring it when u call the number (2701111) it rings but does not ring on the ip phone

i need help on what to do to make this work

have u made any dial peer on the gateway

and did u added the gateway in the callmanager

the dial-peer showube like[if u use h323]:

lets say ur callmanager ip address

dial-peer voice 1 voip

destination-pattren 190

session target ipv4:

on the fxo do

voice port [port number]

connection plar opx 190

and u have to have the gateway added in ur callmanger as h323 based on the config above to work and als the ip phon 190 added to the system aswel

try to make the fxo like :

voice-port 0/1/0

connection plar-opx 190
