VLAN puzzle

Hi All

Something strange that needs explaining. I configured an interface to a particular vlan 10 and it does not work but i change the vlan and it works.

I change the blade, the switch and still the same issue. As long as I put it in vlan 10, it will not work but put it in vlan 11 or 12 or any other vlan, it will work. What can be going wrong?

Hi ,

Did you create Vlan 10 on the switch.Anything is connected in Vlan 10.

After creating Vlan 10 , you need to assign it to any port so that you can pulgin eitrher PC or Server in that Vlan.

As soon as you create vlan , it willn't comeup until unless something is placed in that Vlan.

Can you paste the "show run" of the switch.

Thanks. There are a lot ofm devices already in vlan 10.

There are devices in all the vlans.

What is the model of the switch.
