User complain that he got a number of duplicate ip error messages

User believe that another machine on our network attempt to use the ip reserved for his workstation. We knew the user's ip address and the mac address offending his nic. I checked the log on the switch and didn't find any duplicate IP error.

Can anyone help me with steps to get it fixed?

I have this problem too.

The IP address in a Duplicate IP address error message received on the interface is the same as the switch's own IP address. This condition may be caused by a network loop, a misconfiguration, or a malfunctioning switch. So, Ensure that there are no network loops, check the configuration on all, and make sure that all switches is correctly configured and functioning properly.
