hi everybody!

Does dot1q not support pvst?

cisco switches by default operates in pvst mode. So how can dotq trunk appears to support pvst?

dot1q is perfectly compatible with pvst STP standard.

Not sure I understand what you're asking...

thanks for your reply. I just found out it was pvst+ not pvst that support dot1q.cisco switches by default operate pvst+ so that explain why dot1q tunnel works between switches.
