trying to add 2x CallManager and ciscoworks server to LMS2.6

I have add 2 call maanger via CS and when I go to DFM the devices are in SNMP timeout.

I know the both call manager are configure with SNMP enable.

On the CS for both CM for Device Type I will choose Call Manager but what is the OID that I need to use?

1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1

1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.2

1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.3

I have upgrade my default SNMP timout.

What is next?

Where do I put the authentication for Call Manager Server?

Primary credential or Rx-Boot Mode Credential?

Do not choose any sysObjectID from CS. Leave it as Unknown. The first application that contacts these devices with SNMP will update DCR with the correct values.

An SNMP timeout could indicate a firewall or access-list between the LMS server and the CCM. Put a sniffer on the CCM, and make sure the SNMP packets are making it. Also, make sure the SNMP credentials are correct in DCR for these devices.

The only credential you need in DCR for the CCMs is SNMP read-only community string.

Thanks jclarke, I don't have any access list or Firewall between the 2 apps. When I try to add again the 2 CM i saw in DFM the status go to 10% and after a bit I got that:

IP Address = 10.9.35.115

DNS Name = plcma.bnquebec.ca

Device Status = Unknown

Device Type = N/A

Aliases = N/A

Containments = N/A

DFM Processing = N/A

Time Last Discovered = N/A

Import Time Stamp = 19-Aug-2008 10:05:22

*** Data Collector Status Information ***

Error Code = Unsupported

Error Message = N/A

Do you have any pointer to resolve this issue?

Thanks,

Perform an SNMP Walk of this CCM from Common Services > Device Center > Tools > SNMP Walk. Use sysObjectID as the starting OID. What is the value of sysObjectID? What version of DFM is this?

Not applicable

I have run the test for both CM

The following is a SNMP walk of device 10.9.35.115 starting from sysObjectID

SNMP Walk Output

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

sysObjectID

RFC1213-MIB::sysObjectID.0 = OID: CISCO-SMI::ciscoProducts.746

The following is a SNMP walk of device 10.9.35.116 starting from sysObjectID

SNMP Walk Output

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

sysObjectID

RFC1213-MIB::sysObjectID.0 = OID: CISCO-SMI::ciscoProducts.746

DFM version: 2.0.11

The following is a SNMP walk of device 10.9.35.115 starting from sysObjectID

SNMP Walk Output

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

sysObjectID

.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 = OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.746

The following is a SNMP walk of device 10.9.35.116 starting from sysObjectID

SNMP Walk Output

This CCM is not yet supported. Support is planned for October of this year.
