please can anyone help on how to configure SSH on cisco router. i need help on the relevant commands to put on the router.a quick response would be highly appreciated.thanks a lot

Use aaa authentication ssh console local...instead of aaa new model

In this case you must define an user on your router.

Hi,

crypto key generate rsa

ip ssh

ip ssh version 2

aaa authentication login default local

username your_username password your_password encrypted

u mean the ip domain-name and hostname command is no longer neccesary.if it okay

should my hostname be thesame with the username.thanks for anticipated response
