I have a Cisco 7206 Router with 2 FE interface. One for WAN (FA0/1) and LAN(FA0/2) and my WAN is connected to a 10Mbps circuit from the ISP, on my network I'm using NAT.
My problem was if I plug a computer directly to ISP's Modem located on my collocation; ISP's Modem-->PC my internet was so fast speedtest result from speakeasy.net/speedtest going to NY i am reaching 3Mbps DL and 2UL and my transfer rate in downloading a 26MB file from microsoft.com was hitting 1Mbps/sec. But if I used the above topology speedtest was dropped from 3Mbps down to 500Kbps, transfer rate were only between 100-200 Kbps. I would like to ask if there is a work around solution to my problem. I really don't know if my Fast Ethernet port or the Router itself is the problem. I already changed the FEport twice and switch it on a different slot, but I'm still stuck with the same problem. How would I know if my router is faulty, on which hardware ? Please I need an advise ASAP
