To add to Rob's exhausting list (+5 points), here are additional features introduced in CM 6.1 from 6.0.
- DB Resiliancy
- Intercom for Cisco Extension Mobility
- Join Across Lines
- Single Button Barge
- System Reporting
- SIP Trunk Identification
- Thai Language Support
- Turkish Language Support
- Several new service parameters
Also, here is a preview of some of the new features coming up in CM 7.0
⢠Route lists now reference plan and type, so these may be reset on a route list basis
⢠Route pattern search now references "Associated Devices"
⢠Phone modification page now integrates easily to registered devices report
⢠Device pools now support calling/called party transformations
⢠Local route groups
⢠The gateway configuration screens now allow you to change an MGCP device type
⢠Mobile connect supports a single key turn-off: you can optionally tie DND to mobile connect. So, when DND is on, mobile connect is off.
⢠Time of day access is present in mobile connect
⢠IP phone services can be assigned enterprise wide as part of service creation.
⢠Directed call pickup: using the GPickup key and by dialing the DN of any other device on the system, you may pickup a call ringing on it.
⢠Alerting BLF
⢠Pickup BLF
⢠DND reject
⢠BAT support system import and system export

Hey Chris,
Nice! Looks like some great new features coming down the pipe in CCM 7.0 I have heard great things about this release. If you don't mind me asking, were/are you part of the EFT for 7.0?
Thanks for adding to this list (+5 for sure :)
Take care,
Rob

Rob,
Yes, I've had it running in my lab for few months. The Local Route Groups feature is huge and I love it. It will essentially allow you to create global route patterns/paritions/CSS as oppose to site specific, for multisite deployment this is huge and will natively support routing 911 out of local branch in case of CER failure, I've actaully mocked it up and it works as advertised, really COOL.
Dial plan normalization (+) is fianlly here as well, which make CUPS/OCS integrations a lot better, you can really get crazy with this and easily complicate things :-) Other than that as mentioned above some new features, but look and feel is the same as 6.1.
