Cisco 851 ADSL site-to-site VPN support

Hi expertise ,

we have 4 offices connected to internet via 1mpbs adsl connection. i have in all those sites cisco 851 dsl router. is possible to connect all offices togher using this model? we need to run voice mainly between offices, is 851 model capable to do site to site vpn between all offices.

Tariq,

Yes with that model L2L VPN's are possible - it depends on 2 factors:-

1) The version of IOS you currently have needs to have the crypto features - if not you need to download and install

2) One of the sites needs to be the HUB - with a static IP address for the DSL link. You cannot created a VPN connection between 2 devices that have DHCP assigned addresses.
