We are using the Cisco VPN client which is part of v. 2.x iPhone/iPod Touch software. We are running version 8.04 on the ASA vpn server.
The problem we are experiencing is that the iPhone vpn clients cannot connect to the AppStore/or lauch iTunes (which tries to connect to the AppStore.
Macintosh VPN clients using the exact same VPN profile do not experience this problem, nor do iPhone users who are not using a VPN connection, so it is clearly an issue specific to the iPhone VPN.
I opened a TAC case with Cisco but beyond verifying that the VPN connection was normal they cannot help, as Apple directly support this client.
Anybody else seen this?
Anybody got any good contacts with Apple Support?
thanks-
Lynne

Lynne,
Are you using split-tunneling? Are you "hairpining" the internet traffic thru the ASA?

Nope, no split-tunneling, no hair-pinning.
All traffic is tunneled through the VPN.
(we use the VPN to secure our wireless network)
At this point, I doubt there is a configuration issue on the ASA since this would also cause problems for Mac VPN clients -- as they use the exact same VPN profile on the same VPN server.
The Mac clients have no problem at all.
Thanks for the suggestion!
