PIX 525 - and Mail attachment notr get throught

I have a very strange problem - I am running PIX 525 with ver 7.2 software. I am receiving email from my customer OK. But i have only one customer who is unable to send me emails with attachments, but can send me plain text.

Below is the error message

I dont think its my firewall, but either something in MailMarshel or the otherend.


The other end is able to send email to everyone with attachments without a problem.


I can send him an the other end an email with an attachment successfully

Hello Steve,

Never heard of an incidence in which ASA was responsible for such a result. Anyway if you disable smtp inspection in ASA, ASA will be out of the question completely for mails, but I am sure that wont have any effect. Most probably it is related with MailMarshal. Check the following link
