Gatekeeper concept

Folks,

I have a ccme and a callmanager connected via a Gatekeeper, I am unabe to call from the ccme to the callmanager without using the default technology prefix. I am using the zone prefix for the callmanager but the call does not route to the callmanager, My question is that why do i need a default technology prefix when i do have a zone prefix for the callmanager, is that not enough to route the call to the callmanager.

Gatekeeper

zone local ccm cisco.com 10.10.10.10

zone local ccme cisco.com

zone prefix ccm 2...

zone prefix ccme 4...

no shutdown

Technology prefix are used by gatekeeper to identify which endpoint it should route calls to.

Zone prefix defined the digits that are dialled. The gatekeeper uses both technology prefix and zone prefix to route calls.
