I have found a chart that shows the base IOS image IP Base and works its way to the top image. Does anyone of have a link to such a site, or can someone inform me of the different images? I am not looking for the version just the type(??).

Thanks,

Richard

Richard,

I think you are looking for the IOS packaging chart. If this is not what you are looking for let me know.

Yes that does show what I thought I was looking for, but this does not show where the IP Plus.

Here is my situation: I am trying to implement BGP but when I try to enable it I receive "Protocol not in this image". I found out that the minimum IOS I need is IP Plus. Where is this located in comparison to the chart you provided to me?

IP Plus was our old naming convention. It would sit on top of IP Base similar to advanced IP services. IP Plus images have an 's' in their name. For example:

c7200-i-mz.121-5.T would be IP Base

c7200-is-mz.121-5.T would be IP Plus

Hi Richard

The reason for getting the error message "protocol not in this image" is because BGP feature is not supported in the IOS version running on the router. To resolve this error upgrade the IOS to newer IOS versions that supports BGP.

Could you provide the product + feature set you are running?

Regards MJ

IP plus is no longer a current feature set which is why it is not on the chart. I haven't seen a chart that goes into such detail that would include BGP. I would recommend using the feature navigator to ensure your new feature set contains the features that you need. Here the link for the feature navigator.
