I am trying to get click to dial setup for our end users but I am not really sure what the steps are.
Do I need to install the JTAPI client?
What additional steps are involved to get this working?

There are many ways to do "Click-to-Dial". Through Cisco Unified Personal Communicator, you need a CUPS (Cisco Unfied Presence Server). CUPS needs to be installed on a separate server other than CUCM.

Right on.
Yes I am aware of CUPC/CUPS and we are looking into the costs associated with that.
In the meantime I was able to get TPS running so click to dial works through Outlook contacts.
It's limited but still pretty cool!
Problem resolved AFA basic TPS click to dial.
