hi,
does it make any difference if my class(es) are in different order.. say default class at the top in a policy and priority class at the bottom.. Will it require extra processing ..
Hope I am clear..
Thx,

The order of your classes within the policy-map is very important because once the traffic has been matched by a class then no futher processing of the policy-map occurs. So you must put your classes in the correct order to match the traffic as you want to.

Hello Gaurav,
it makes the same difference as mixing the order of an ACL statements:
you can have traffic matching the wrong class.
I would recommend to have the classes in the right order for this reason before dealing with performance issues.
Hope to help
