pix 6.3 to 8.04

upgrade has gone to plan however memory usuage is v.high.... we have 128mb ram currently as this was recommended by supplier

What effect are we likely to see from this, i'm conducting testing but connection speeds seem ok at the moment...

however network is quite now as it's weekend

Glad your upgrade went as plan.. although you should still be aware and have an eye for overall performance I would not worry to much about high memory unless u start experiencing issues. High memory have been reported even on ASA5500 running various code versions to be normal, pay close attention on overall PIX traffic. For instance high CPU would be something to worry about..

The 128MB RAM is Cisco's recomended memory for upgrading from 6.x to 7.x or above, by your description of 128MB I can say you have 515E PIXes and I believe that is the maximun memory it can hold 64 per bank for UR/FO pair.
