DMM 4.1 to 5.0 migration

Customer has 4.1 running in a test mode on a server that can not be upgraded to 5.0. He has a new DMM 5.0 server installed that he has been testing with and now wants to move all of the presentations that he has been using in the 4.1 system to the 5.0 system.

I had him use the AAI interface to backup the information from the 4.1 system to a usb drive. When he tries to restroe, it sau=ys that there is no 5.0 file there. Is there another way to move these presentations and media files, or is there a lot more work to be done.

Thanks.

Using the DMM GUI for Data Migration:

Using the DMM CLI for Data Migration:

Server-Based Migration

In server-based migration, the focus is data migration for the storage used by a particular server. All LUNs accessed by the selected server are available for migration to new storage.

Migration to Larger LUN

To increase the amount of data that an existing server can access, Cisco MDS DMM facilitates migration to a larger LUN. After the migration, expand the file system on the LUN to take advantage of the increased storage space.

Thanks but I am referencing the Digital Media Manager not Data Mobility Manager in the MDS9000.

I think you are going to have to get the TAC involved on this one. I haven't heard of a method to transfer the preso database. I had another customer who had a scheduling database issue and to resolve it he had to get the TAC involved and also one of the engineers from the Cisco DM business unit in order to get resolution.
