HDD in RAID replacement

Hello everyone,

I've got one of the HDD in RAID on 100 model failed. I have tried to replace it with one on my hands (WD2500JB-00REA0). HDD was detected but I could not rebuild a RAID according to procedure. So question is should I use Cisco spare only or this problem could be related to raid controller failure?

You don't mention what version of MARS, but we've had problems replacing hard disks in the past. TAC seemed to have conflicting information about the steps to replace a "hot swappable" disk.

You should definitely be using a Cisco supplied HDD and I wouldn't expect much support from Cisco otherwise.
