Cat 4500 upgrade help

Hi we are currently running a Catalyst 4500 Sup4 with an ios image 12.1(12c)EW2. The current ios is an affected image and a replacement image 12.2(25)EWA10 is recommended by cisco. Can I upgrade to this release for free?

Hello Jimbo,

if you stay on the same feature set I think you can do it.

You need to have a valid service contract associated to the CCO profile you use to download the IOS image.

The service contract has to include the C4500 device in its device list.

If all of the above conditions are true you can upgrade without an additional fee.
