Video Conference Design Questions

Unanswered Question

Hello all,

I am trying to come up with a design for our company video conferencing solution. Currently I have a Cisco CallManager infrastructure in place with about 20 Cisco VTA's and about 4 Tandberg MXP 3000 and all endpoints register directly to CCM with no MCU nor any of the components below. The Tandberg endpoints are currently register to CCM as H.323 client and I can dial by 4-digit extension between endpoints and I love that and I want to keep the 4-digit dialing as I expand. I will be adding the components below to allow outside access and multi-point conference calls. My ultimate goal is to preserve the 4-digit dialing between endpoints throughout the company while still be able to come up with a simple, user friendly dial plan for endpoints to dial out via ISDN or via IP.

Has anyone run into this type of scenario with similar components involve ?

components:

-a 30-port Codian MCU

-Codian ISDN Gateway

-Codian IP Gateway

-Codian Gatekeeper - not sure if I need this component.

-Tandberg Edge 95 Endpoints - about 15 more.

-More Cisco VTA's

Thank you very much in advance !! I appreciate any comments/suggestions !!

Danny

Hi Danny,

Rather than IP Gateway, i suggest you to go with Border Controler for Tandberg.

it has more flexibility which is not there in your requiremnt list but may do value add in feature.
