Can we use Nexus 5000 and 7000 for WAN connectivity and Internet Services from ISP at collapsed core distribution layer.

What layer 3 features are supported by both devices with ADV lan Enterprise License.

I have this problem too.

Hi,

The answer is no, Nexus does not have any WAN interface cards (DS1/DS3). And Nexus is a Data Center switch (core).

The L3 features in the Enterprise license are:

- OSPF v2, and v3 (IPv4 and v6)

- IS-IS

- BGP

- EIGRP

Please see the Licensing section of the data sheet for the features:

Forgot to mention, Nexus 5000 does not have any L3 features. It is a L2 switch.
