management-acces on Router 3825 via VPN (snmp)

Hi,

I'm using "management-access" command on all PIX I manage to get snmp info from ipsec tunnel (management-access inside) => no problem

Now I'm new with router conf, and I did not find the same command to do that.

So how to access inside interface from VPN... and in my case to get snmp info ?

thanks by advance

Regards

Nicolas

One of the differences between routers and PIX is that the router will accept managment traffic such as SNMP on all interfaces without requiring any special configuration. The PIX requires configuration to accept management protocols and the router does not require this.

hello Rick,

on PIX, I just put "management-access inside" then snmp config ... that's all, all works like a charm via VPN

so if I understand well what you said, on router I just need to configure snmp and that will work ?

thx

Nicolas

Yes, as I replied to you on the other thread. A router by default allows ALL traffic to ALL its interfaces unless you are running some firewall type feature.
