WS-SVC-CMM Location

Hi Is there a correct slot to locate the WS-SVC-CMM module in a C6506-E ?

We have 2 6506-E's in one location with the CMM in Slot 6 and they are running clean with no errors , but on another 6506-E the CMM is in Slot 3 and running up huge errors.

No there should be no restriction other than the obvious with slots for the supervisors. See attached link - Table 1 about 1/3 of the way down which states it can go in any slot.

Sounds to me like you may have either a faulty module or slot 3 has a connectivity problem to the switch fabric.
