OSPF and RIP: reachability issue

Hi,

I did an internetwork where there is OSPF and RIP .

The problem is that R2 and R3 can not reach R5's loopbacks through the Frame Relay cloud. (see the configurations and the topology).

any idea?

To sum up:

R1:

-ASBR and ABR (areas 0 and 1)

-lo1: 1.1.1.1 (area 1)

-lo8:8.1.1.1

-lo9:9.1.1.1

-lo10:10.1.1.1

-lo11:11.1.1.1

-serial0/0:172.12.123.1 (area 0)

-fastethernet0/0: 15.1.1.1 (RIP)

R5:

-lo4:4.1.1.1

-lo5:5.1.1.1,

-lo6:6.1.1.1,

-lo7:7.1.1.1

-fastethernet0/0: 15.1.1.2 (RIP)

R2:

-lo2: 2.2.2.2 (area 2)

-serial0/0: 172.12.123.2 (area 0)

R3:

-lo3: 3.3.3.3 (area 3)

-serial0/0: 172.12.123.3 (area 0)

Hello Wassim,

First: connectivity problem

on R1 you have to inject a default route in RIP to make R5 able to answer to ping requests with source addresses in the OSPF domain or you need to redistribute OSPF into RIP or at least to configure a static default route on R5 towards R1.

I would suggest to review FR config:

I prefer to use frame-rel map ip with the broadcast keyword without relying on Inverse ARP.
