I Want to configure the ASA IOS Version 8.0 to connect to Juniper Netscreen with the below configuration using L2L VPN.

Peer IP address 78.93.0.7

Host IP address 213.184.187.200

Pre-shared key: ciscoVPN

Phase 1: preg2-3des-md5

phase 2: nopfs-esp-3des-md5

Hi ..

The easiest way is by using the VPN wizard which can be accessed using ASDM (graphical interface). Access to it is by http and so the ASA needs something like that on its config

http x.x.x.x 255.255.255.255 inside

The above command allows access to the ASDM from host x.x.x.x which sits behind the inside interface of the ASA. So from your browser you can connect to https://10.10.10.10 (assuming 10.10.10.10 is the Inside IP of the firewall) and ASDM should load for you ..

from there just go to VPN wizard and follow the step by step procedure.

i tried to use the ASDM but the connection does not come up and i also cannot monitor it from the ASA. So if you can help me with the a command line and to apply the rule on which interface it will be great.

how also to monitor the connection.
