Here are the the switches that will best suit your posted requirements.

1:) 2960-24TC-L (24 Ethernet 10/100 ports and 2 dual-purpose uplinks)

2:) 2960G-48TC-L (44 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports and 4 dual-purpose uplinks)

These switches will utilize SFP modules for fiber connectivity.

Hi,

Understand what is your requirement ?

More port density is always advantage. You can go for Catalyst 3560 WS-C3560-48TS-S

with standard image(SMI) for your L2 requirement.

Cisco Catalyst 3560-48TS: 48 Ethernet 10/100 ports and 4 SFP-based Gigabit Ethernet ports; 1RU

If L3 requirement arises in future you can always upgarde the image to EMI without changing the hardware.

HTH..
