Hi,
Running broadband featureset and the 'ping atm' command is not included. IS there any other way in the IOS to to test the l2 connecion?

Hello Barry,
you can use
sh atm pvc vpi/vci
check if the state is active
then you can try to do an extended ping the other side ip address
do sh atm pvc vpi/vci again and see if counters have incremented
