Hi,
i am experiencing the following problem when establishing calls over BRI ports. There are 6 BRI ports configured as a trunk group and are configured like this:
BRI configuration:
isdn switch-type basic-net3
isdn overlap-receiving
isdn not-end-to-end 64
isdn incoming-voice voice
isdn outgoing-voice info-transfer-capability 3.1kHz-audio
isdn outgoing display-ie
The incoming calls are working fine, but outgoing calls fail. The call setup goes like this:
1. TX->SETUP
An then instead of RX->Call_Proc i get:
2. RELEASE_COMP pd = 8 callref = 0x8D Cause i = 0x82E404 - Invalid information element contents
Any ideas how could this be solved?
Regards,
Marko

Have you read above ?
The soultion was to force TEI=0 towards provider.

Forcing TEI value to zero makes the BRI layer 2 comes up and multiple frames establishes, and eventually, the incoming calls worked. Dependning on your ISDN switch type, the outgoing call may or may not work with this setting. If you are connected to a-law compatible switches at the telco, susch as Basic-net3, then you must chnage the compand-type value on the voice-port to a-law. This was the fix in my case.
Thanks for the response.
