WCS not refreshing config from WLC's

WCS Version - 5.0.56.2 (on a Linux box)

WLC Version - 4.2.112.0

Problem is that i initally started trying to set up a Lobby Ambassador account and the WCS didn't see my WLAN's that were created with Webauth. After this i tried to manually refresh the Config from the Controller but it seems to just hang and never update. The WCS is pingable the WLC and the WCS receives information properly regarding AP's, etc. Has anyone else seen this or have ideas?

per the rel notes, the version of WCS is for WLC revs 5.0.148.0 or later

This release of Cisco WCS for Windows or Linux is compatible with wireless LAN controller and Cisco Aironet lightweight access point release 5.0.148.0 or later. Previous releases of Cisco WCS should not be used with the 5.0.148.0 controller software release.

I have never downgraded a WCS, so I do not know if the database will downgrade cleanly.
