All,
I used to use the MOH translator on CCM to do this, but no on cm5.x and 6.x there is no way to download the translated file. How and what can I use to convert my wav to g711 for CVP?

You should be able to do this via Windows sound recorder (START > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder).
Just open up the file and then choose Save As. There is a "format" option where you can change the compression etc.
I've used this for Unity recordings before and it works fine. No need to download additional software either.

How are you changing it to
ulaw
??
I am looking details of CCA's sound recorder and then setting it the way you mention here but
dbPowerAmp Music Converter still converts as Lossless now Lossy.
Where is the ulaw setting?
Also tim.giles for some reason my Windows Sound Recorder only allows .wma resordings even I click on dropdown to save as other options.
Do you click on something else once you hit stop after recording?
Thanks.
What happened is I had the speaker record my prpompts in WMA not WAV so I am running in to this now.
Thanks.
