Installing a new PRI at new location. Can I take a 2611 non voice sw, with a plain wic (not vwic), and use it to verify whether all 24 channels are up or not?

The âshow ISDN statusâ command ensures that the router is properly communicating with the ISDN switch. In the output, verify that Layer 1 Status is ACTIVE, and that the Layer 2 Status state = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED appears. This command also displays the number of active calls.

thanks for the response. the question is where I could take a straight data WIC card on a router with non voice ios, and use that just to verify the PRI comes up

Hello,
You would need at least a network module that would recognize ISDN PRI, like an NM-2CT1-CSU=, or NM-2CE1T1-PRI.
