pg jtapi user - Device Association - are there any limits?

Call Manager is running

System version: 5.1.3.2105-1

Administration version: 1.1.0.0-1

We are using ICM 7.1 (I think) and the pg jtapi user has been probably incorrectly set as end user.

CCM does NOT display any more devices or CTI points when we associate devices with pguser.

Are we reaching a limit? Should we use Application User and will that eliminate any limits on device and route point association?

Hi Rajan,

There are limits which depend on the hardware.

A maximum of 800 devices can be controlled by, or associated to, CTI applications (total for all applications) per Cisco MCS 7825 or 7835 server, or a maximum of 3200 (800 * 4 subscribers) associations per cluster if they are equally balanced among the servers.

A maximum of 2500 devices can be controlled by, or associated to, CTI applications (total for all applications) per Cisco MCS 7845 server, or a maximum of 10,000 (2500 * 4 subscribers) associations per cluster if they are equally balanced among the servers.

Reference the Capacity Planning section of the Call Processing chapter of the SRNDs

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Michael.
