Hello,
I have a Problem with the time settings on an UC 520 CUE-Module.
The CME is synchronized to a ntp-server on the Internet and i want the CUE to synchronize on the CME.
Unfortunally when i type "show ntp Status" on the CUE, i get the information that the entered adress is reachable but also it shows me "reject".
The CUE is configured as ntp master, the interfaces are configured with ntp broadcast.
At the cue interface i just entered the adress of the vlan of CME as ntp-server.
How do i get the CUE to synchronize on the CME?
kind regards
Christian

Hi Christian,
Have you tried these commands?
Problem: CUE Clock Not Synchronizing with CME Router Configured as a NTP Server
NTP on the CUE is unable to synchronize with the CallManager Express. The CallManager Express router is configured as a NTP server. The CUE clock is not displaying accurate time. However, CallManager Express displays the correct time.
Issue these commands in order to overcome this problem:
On the CallManager Express router:
ntp master
On the CUE:
ntp server x.x.x.x
!--- Where x.x.x.x is the ip address of the CME router which is configured as a NTP server.
Once the mentioned configuration changes are made on the CUE and CallManager Express, issue the show ntp status command on the CallManager Express router. You should see that the clock is synchronized.
Hope this helps!

I already tried the commands above but no solution.
Here is a small dump of my configuration:
CME
ntp master 1
ntp server 192.53.103.104 prefer source Dialer1
ntp server 192.53.103.108 source Dialer1
CUE
UC500-CUE> sh ntp status
NTP reference server : 10.1.10.2
Status: reject
Time difference (secs): 0.0
Time jitter (secs): 4.0
NTP reference server : 192.168.6.1
Status: reject
Time difference (secs): 0.0
Time jitter (secs): 4.0
Where 192.168.6.x and 192.168.8.x are vlans on the CME.
kind regards

Christian,
Can you show us a little more about the interfaces on the UC520?
Thanks,
Steve

Ok finally got this fixed here on my end. First there is a bug that does not allow CUE to synch with CME on the UC520 system..Surprise,Surprise! Bug ID is CSCsu36827.
So really you have to try and sync with an external NTP server but in doing so you have to verify IP connectivity from your CUE and make sure if you are using NAT to translate that subnet. After doing the above I finally got my CUE NTP time to synch and no more reject!

No problem! I was pulling my hair out on this one trying to get this resolved. I found a couple posts of people that had the same problem with no resolution. Hopefully this will help others! Thanks for the rating!
