Change GW MGCP

Hello Netpro

I have to change a 2600 GW with E1 module VWIC-1MFT-E1 with MGCP on a platform 4.0(2) a module E1 VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 GW 2851.

In making this change, somehow will impact the functioning of the CCM 4.0(2)?

I've been doing testing and 2851 were register in the CCM 4.0 (2) but I have doubts about the routing of calls. Moreover although the router tells me that this Register in the CCM shows me as Not Register.

with MGCP if u wanna route a call through the E1 u have to chose the E1 in the route pattren it self as the gateway

u have to define the gtaeway and its modules again as well

then se,ct the new module as the gateway for calls need to exitthrough it

Why in the router the command "show ccm-manager" tells me that this Register in the CCM but at the CCM does not appear as Not Register?

sh ccm on the router only reflects the keepalive exchange is being done, not that the GW is really working

and yes, since you're changing the module you need to modify the config in CUCM to match the new NM you have in there, the MGCP packets are SPECIFIC TO MODELS so if you still have the same old config on CUCM when the new module is in, it's expected to not register until the info matches on both sides
