enabling SSH

I am getting the following error while I try to create a key for enabling SSH

The name for the keys will be: XXXXX.XXXXXXXX.XXX

Choose the size of the key modulus in the range of 360 to 2048 for your

General Purpose Keys. Choosing a key modulus greater than 512 may take

a few minutes.

How many bits in the modulus [512]: 1024

% Generating 1024 bit RSA keys ...[OK]

% Error in generating keys: could not generate test signature

crypto_lib_keypair_get failed to get XXXXX.XXXXXXXX.XXX

can anybody help?

Have you tried the error message decoder on the Cisco web site?

If you post the output of show version and the config we might be able to make better diagnosis of the problem.
